DocuPod is pleased to be participating during Hackney Heritage Week with the DocuPod Lower Clapton Audio Guide - a free downloadable mp3 walk that takes the listener on a short journey to some of Lower Clapton's most significant and historical places of interest.

The guide's unlikely backdrop of Lower Clapton's urban setting makes for an interesting and unique audio experience that focuses on the hidden, forgotten and sometimes unnoticed sites that have helped shape what Lower Clapton is today. So whether you are a Hackney resident or a Hackney visitor, we hope the guide will inform and surprise you as to the history of this area. Most importantly we hope you enjoy exploring Lower Clapton!

During Hackney Heritage Week the Lower Clapton Audio Guide will also be available on CD for those that do not have access to an mp3 player. There will be a limited number of CD's distributed at participating sites taking part throughout Hackney Heritage Week, including Sutton House, Hackney Museum, The Building Exploratory and The Round Chapel. Don't forget to bring a CD player. If you wish, you can also burn the tracks to CD and make your own copy that way.

We recommend starting the walk outside Hackney Town Hall, where you can find a seat and listen to the introduction which lasts approimately seven minutes, before setting off for the first destination. The Town Hall is easily accessable by bus (D6, W15, 30, 48, 55, 106, 254, 277).
